Report Builder

Introduction

Report Builder is the in-platform tool for creating professional, data-driven client reports — without leaving Reluna. Compose reports slide by slide on a landscape A4 canvas, pull live data from Portfolio Positions or Transactions, and export a polished PDF in minutes.

This guide walks you through every step: creating a report, configuring widgets, adjusting data, managing headers and footers, and exporting your final PDF.

Report Builder is available from the Reports section in the main navigation menu.

Editing Data on Widgets

You can fine-tune the data shown on any rendered chart or table directly on the canvas — without modifying the underlying data source.

Widget

What you can edit

Charts

Edit individual data point values directly on the rendered chart

Data Tables

Edit cell values, delete individual rows, delete columns

Manual Tables

Edit any cell, add or remove rows and columns

Manual edits are preserved

All data corrections you make on widgets are saved with the report and included in the exported PDF. They are not overwritten by automatic data refresh unless you explicitly reset the widget.

Headers & Footers

Headers and footers can be configured globally (applied to all slides by default) or overridden on individual slides.

Global Settings

  1. ClickHeader / Footerin the toolbar or report settings.

  2. ConfigureLeft,Centre, andRightzones for both the header and footer.

  3. Available content: company logo, report name, portfolio name, period dates, page numbers, generation date.

  4. ClickApply to All Pagesto set as the default for the entire report.

Per-Page Override

To customise a specific slide, select it in the Slide Panel and click Override Header / Footer. Any changes apply to that slide only. You can also hide the header or footer entirely on a slide — useful for cover slides.

Per-page settings always take priority over the global configuration. Global settings serve as the default for any slide without an override.

Validation & Error Handling

Widget Fit Validation

As you resize or place a widget, the editor continuously checks whether it fits within the slide canvas. If a widget overflows the available space, a visual warning highlights it. Adjust the widget's size or position before exporting.

Data Availability Errors

If a data source returns no results, the widget shows a clear message instead of a blank view:

Message

Recommended Action

"No data available for selected configuration"

Adjust your filters or change the reporting period

"Too many categories for a readable chart"

Apply a filter to reduce the number of grouped values

Table overflow warning

Split across slides, adjust filters, or delete rows/columns on the rendered table

Saving & Exporting

Saving a Report

Click Save in the top bar at any time. The saved report appears in the Reports List with an updated Last Modified date and can be reopened for further editing.

Widget configurations render in real time during editing, but the report is only saved when you click Save. Unsaved changes will be lost if you navigate away.

PDF Preview

Click Preview to open the PDF preview page. The preview renders every slide exactly as it will appear in the exported file - including headers, footers, and any manual data corrections. Use ← Back to Editor to return and make adjustments.

Exporting as PDF

  1. Click Export PDF in the top toolbar.

  2. Configure export options in the dialog.

  3. Click Export - the PDF downloads automatically.
