Manage Messages

Overview

This section defines the triggering conditions and recipients for the alert. It includes logical conditions that must be met for the workflow to execute.

Steps to Complete

  • Scroll to the Message section.

  • Click + Add Recipient.

You will now see fields that allow you to define the type of recipient, the value (or who exactly) and any criteria that need to be met before the recipient is added.

  • Click the Type(*) dropdown and choose the method for selecting recipients.

  • Once you select a Type, the Value(*) dropdown will update.

All the relevant fields from the platform.

  • Toggle the switch labeled Show Criteria to ON if you want to apply conditions before this recipient gets the alert.

Once “Show Criteria” is enabled:

  • Choose System Fields(*) and Value(*).

  • Select Criteria Operator.

Criteria Operators – Explanation:

Operator

Meaning

Prev Not Contains

Excludes results where the previous value contains the specified text/characters.

Equals

Matches values that are exactly the same as the specified input.

Not Equal

Matches values that are different from the specified input.

Greater Than

Matches values larger than the specified input.

Greater Than Or Equal

Matches values that are larger than or equal to the specified input.

Less Than

Matches values smaller than the specified input.

Less Than Or Equal

Matches values that are smaller than or equal to the specified input.

Between

Matches values that fall within a specified numeric or date range.

Greater Than Field

Compares one field against another and matches when the first is greater.

Greater Than Or Equal Field

Compares one field against another and matches when the first is greater or equal.

Less Than Field

Compares one field against another and matches when the first is smaller.

Less Than Or Equal Field

Compares one field against another and matches when the first is smaller or equal.

Equals Field

Compares two fields and matches when their values are exactly the same.

Not Equal Field

Compares two fields and matches when their values are different.

Between Fields

Matches when a value falls between the values of two different fields.

Is Null

Matches records where the field has no value (empty).

Prev Contains

Includes results where the previous value contains the specified text/characters.

Is Not Null

Matches records where the field has any value (not empty).

  • Then, click + Add Criteria to add another logic, if required.

Each condition you add requires a System Field, an Operator and a Value.

Add Multiple Entries (Optional)

  • After entering your first condition, click the + icon to add more entries for the same recipient or system field.

  • Each added condition can either:

    • Refine the criteria using logical AND/OR, or

    • Target additional values.

The Recipient Will Be Added When The Following Conditions Are Satisfied.
