What Causes Unsettled Positions

Learn Here:
  • Transaction value date is not achieved

  • When transaction has status=active and status reason= Order.

  • ĐĄhild transactions are not settled

Every transaction has attribute “Settled”.

Troubleshooting Steps

Clear Your Doubts Here:
  1. Transaction value date is not achieved

Example:

  • Today’s Date: October 23rd

  • Transaction Value Date: October 24th or later

If the selected value date is greater than today’s date (in this case, greater than October 23rd), the transaction remains unsettled. Since the value date hasn't arrived, the platform expects the transaction to settle on or after the set value date.

Troubleshooting Steps:

  • Create a Transaction

    • Value Date: Set the value date of the transaction to October 23rd, then 25th (as part of testing), ensuring it's beyond today’s date.

  • Confirm Order

    • Proceed with confirming the order. The transaction will be marked as unsettled in the platform.

  • Wait for the Value Date

    • Check back on the value date to ensure the transaction status updates to “Settled.”

Transactions remain unsettled until the assigned value date arrives, at which point they should automatically settle as per platform configuration.

  1. When transaction has status=active and status reason= Order

You can match the transaction with the bank data or confirm it if there is no bank integration or reflection.

  • Create a Transaction > The following list will appear with Status Reason = Not Matched

  • Then, click on Match icon. The following Status Reason changes to Confirmed.

  • Now, go to Positions tab. The quantity becomes settled.

  1. ĐĄhild transactions are not settled

  • If child order = not confirmed. You need to create child transaction and match with order.
